ISP stands for internet service provider

We need ISP to access the internet for a monthly fee the service provider usually provides a software package.The ISP is directly connected to the client For Example sky runs through a router. There are different types of connections such as wireless, wired and fiber-optic.

 

Domain Name

The domain name is the URL for every website http://bbc.co.uk for example and it is structured by top level (UK) second level (CO) and third level (BBC).

You have to register for a domain name registrar to see if the name you want for your website is available to use and you will have to pay a yearly fee to keep the name of the website. As you have done this then you will be able to use the name you have picked for your website on the Internet.  

Web host service

A web host service is when you make a website and you want to upload it on to the Internet and let other people see it you have to publish it to web host service. With the web host service they will make you website public to everyone. You can also pay extra so that your website doesn't crash and it will upload pictures quicker.

World Wide Web

The World Wide Web is millions of web addresses on web servers. With the web servers you can open web pages on the internet the internet is cables and routers etc.

Web 2.0 technologies

Web 2.0 technology lets you interact with the website it allows the user to put the information on the website for example wiki it lets you put information on the website for other people to see and if you didn't it would be blank website the same with social networking your the one who puts all the information on it and if no one puts up profiles then the website would be blank and the same as youtube if no one up load videos the website would be blank as well. Some examples of Web 2.0 technologies are blogger, Wiki, Youtube, Social Media sites e.g.Facebook and Twitter etc as the user is interacting with the website as they have to put the information on the website for people to see it. With web 2.0 technologies people use them to get their points and opinions across to let other people view it. With Facebook, Youtube and wikis if no one uploaded information, pictures and videos them types of websites would be blank website.
